Telecommuting and working from home have become the new normal these last few weeks. Companies are trying to comply with shelter in place orders; while employees are still working to pay their bills. Where once the offer to work from home was a privilege and a benefit, it’s now mandatory for many people.

One problem many companies are facing is that their employees may have some of the basic equipment in their homes, laptops, printers etc, but they don’t have adequate infrastructure in their homes to meet the needs of their jobs. This last week we were able to send our technicians out to upgrade this home with faster, wired connections – enabling the residents to have high speed data lines throughout their home.

Our highly skilled technicians ran both data and phone lines throughout this customers home, testing and certifying each cable to ensure the best possible connections, We included raceway molding along the interior of the home from the router to the drop location in each room.

No longer limited to wireless speeds the two professionals that live here now have access to hard wired ports in every room, letting them access the full broadband capability provided by their ISP. They are able to attend separate video conferences, download large email attachments and VPN to their workstations in the office without slowing down.
